Welcome to Coking Farm website. Coking Farm Fishery is a well-managed course fishery in North Dorset with the lakes together totalling over 20 acres. The fishery consists of 5 well-stocked lakes catering for everyone from the serious match angler to the weeklong session carp angler wishing to pit his wits against the wariest of carp. There is a lake to cater for everybody’s taste and preferred method of fishing. The lakes average 4 acres each, which we believe is a nice size, not to big and not to small. Bookings can be taken for individuals or groups wishing to book the whole of a lake (matches or carp fishing get togethers) see the lakes page for more details.

On site is a shower and toilet block with access to fresh water and wifi. There is also a well-stocked bait shop supplying baits from companies such as ccmoore, dynamite and mainline and also maggots. There is often fresh produce available on site from the butcher who stocks local meats (great for that cooked breakfast or steak sandwich). There is a touring park with hard standings for 30 caravans located close to the lakes.

News

June 2009

Dave Bellew from Yeovil caught the new lake record on Oak with a mirror of 27.6lb, this was part of a 26 fish haul over 48hours all caught on his secret bait known only to himself.

December 2008

Anyone wishing to fish the lakes between the dates 24th Dec until 2nd Jan must book up in advance.

October 2008

Dave Cochran caught a 32.4lb mirror which was a new lake record for woodland lake, his second 30 of the summer and another in a long line of good catches and Kerne Brown broke the woodland common carp record with a 30.2 lb fish which although has been spotted on numerous occasions was its first reported visit to the bank. Nice to see another new 30 to add to the list. There have been quite a few fish out over the last month in the 27-29lb bracket, which should see the right side of 30 next year.

Meadow lake produced a good afternoons fishing for local angler Leon Walton who caught over 20 fish on surface tactics including many fine doubles, the pick of them was a 22lb mirror.

The lads from Wiltshire Angling are still doing the business on their matches on rush lake with 4 or 5 of them getting over 100lb on each match but also all the other anglers on their matches weighing in bags of 50 to 100lb every time.
